Widows & Soldiers are Not Just A Label!

Just discovered that DP has been chosen for a designer of the week on the Not Just A Label! Congrats & kisses to Davorka!
Another international recognition of the collection W&S - I mean, when will this stop? (I'm asking myself while jumping to the wall ;D

Yeeeey!!

Behind The White Scenes of 'Some Thing'

Holding hands was sweet, kissing even more, but making love was THE BEST THING EVER!

Yeah, you wish!!! ;)

In case you're wondering what the heck is going on here, you should imagine that nothing is like it seems - forget 'relax' - nothing was under control in this a.k.a. bedroom of post afterparty heaven! On that Tuesday when I organized the shooting for the final 'Intosomething' K4 flyer, previous night I was still on the trip from ex -Yugoslavia and I was nothing less then dead tired from the brutal lack of sleep, body hurting & deeply stressed out when I find out one of my models had to cancel the shoot in the last minute, and last but not least - because there was the Big Brother a.k.a. Haidy behind the video camera watching every step I made!
BUT luckely, I had all the right people around me again, and I had my Vision. My vision about the shot was pure & clear: everybody loves everybody at the end of the good party. Gender-free love. The ultimate White fantasy. The sexual heat bettween boys & girls. Nothing is forbidden and nothing is taboo - and this is how my dream cames true. (Fak, to se rima!!:))
And yes, together we made it, the final result is not bad at all: in fact - it's pure heaven! (You'll see it soon!) So, while in and out was kaos in white, the switched off fuse, the baloons, the plastic, the white fabrics, hens, the sheets, the naked bodys, - but please, who can really feel cranky with that smell of passion all over the place? (The passion for a good photo is just like the make out before really good sex.) And there was mr. White Rabbit, of course. The only one who was in control. All the time. And only he knows what was really going on there ... but if you'll ask him, he'll probably just say: "It was Some Thing(s)" ... yez, he's that cool. ;)

So, this is the beggining ... a little sneak preview of behind the scenes of "SOME THING", only a taste of it. Buahahaha, I'm teasing you, but you know you want it. You want it soooo bad!!

Nineteen74

Imagine the scene: it’s the year 2222, centuries into the future. Vogue doesn’t exist, neither does Armani, London is war-torn as an army of fashion creatives move forward to make a new mark on the world. “The Next Generation” if you will, the breed of unknown talent set for the future, the ones to watch for in years to come.

They got me with this one! I joined the fashion army of Nineteen74.com, a professional networking web site that links people in the fashion industry from around the world. I will let you know when some revolution takes place ...

A cigarette in a backstage.

Let me squeeze this as a little sneak overview of Bitola Fashion Week that was going on last week in Macedonia. First let me cry about the fact I didn't get the chance to lay my hands on the fashion magazine where my photo of the Unsuitable Farmgirl was published on their cover (yes, second international cover!) - but I hope that we still get that copy, right, Davorka?:)
However, the scene was still quite some fun! I suppose one of the highlights was the gorgeous make up Tinka Pobalinka did on W&S models. (Must note here, I was helpful too - I personally assisted her preparing the eyelashes from the white hen, haha!) And the other highlighting fact was being able to smoke in the backstage while waiting for models to get ready! Okaj, even if it was not the fabuuuulous NY all over the place at least I had lots of Mad Man moments in the ex Yuga!;)
But get ready for this: my ultimate winner of Bitola fashion week experience was that we discovered that some Macedonian models uses glue for their protruding ears for the catwalk!! (UHO lepilo, anyone?) Yes, they actually do that and it's not even a big deal to them! How about that??

So, cheers to cigarettes at the backstages BUT the protruding ears with no glue, please! And another wish: the fashion backstages all around the globe should have a huge bar of free gin tonic and a bag of chips for everybody! ;)

"This is Macedonian Bronx"

Of course I made tones of crazy photos when W&S crew was visiting the gypsy village in Macedonia this week ... but due to my extreme lack of time (again working on 5 different projects at once) I just wanted to share this amazing gypsy boyz gang from tha hood.
What you see is not them posing, this is just them the way they are - the ultimate essence of the gypsy boys community ... God, I'm so excited I can't even write!!!

Stay with me, more will come soon!!

Believe in Fairy Tales?

It's been a looong time since I submitted any of my work for JPG Magazine. Today I was inspired by talking to Davorka and Kate, the good Fairies. So when I came home I felt the rush of doing something exciting ... and I got this usual notification email about new themes from JPGmag and I immediately knew I have to submit this photo for the theme of next month named Fairy Tale:
Once upon a time is a phrase laden with possibilities. Once upon a time... there was a beautiful princess. A terrifying wizard. A kind-hearted witch. Once upon a time signals the start of a fairy tale, stories that spark the imagination whether you're 8 or 80."

If you believe in fairy tales too, you can click on it & vote. And you can join by sharing your photos ... Or you can just enjoy your tea ... :)

My Burning Man

Nature never made a plan, nor does it seem to copy very well. No living thing is ever quite the same as others of its kind. Charles Darwin called this Natural Variation. There is a kind of subtle chaos, a supple element of chance and change, residing at the core of living things. We've learned that DNA, the code that programs life, is subject to continual mutation. This enables generations to evolve within a changing world.
This year's art theme of Burning man contemplates the power and the meaning of the process we call evolution.

Hey We All Die Sometimes

Today my friend Anna again inspired me with her memories. And her talks about exploring of human relationships seems unconsciously brought me to Tara McPerson. She is an illustrator, a poster artist - and she does make that rock posters rocks! Deep inside I fall inlove with this title & artwork because it's something I can - I think we all can - relate to. The thing is that no matter how hard we try to be humans, sometimes a part of us just dies and we have to do eeeeverything all over again.

But in all this, there is a good news: broken hearts lead us to what we know best - the only thing that can not be broken and taken away from us ...
