SOLO exhibition 'Gaze Into The Murkiness' by Marta Lamovsek

Massive throwbacks! My multimedia portrait exhibition Gaze Into The Murkiness was held at Centre of Urban Culture in Ljubljana (Kino Siska), 5-14 October 2012. It contained the cinema screening of my debut fashion film, display of 25 large format photographs, exclusive video projected on 3-screens (made especially for the space), a A3 four pages newsletter designed and printed exclusively for the opening and oh, there was one hundred black balloons all over the place. 

THIS ARE MY BABIES

To summarise my inner workings and vision, one should take a closer look at this babies. Selection for my last SOLO exhbition Gaze Into The Murkiness, 2012 - this is a pic of a printed 'newsletter' we made for the opening, designed by the amazing Tomaz Plahuta. All my works was done in London between 2010 and 2012.

THE LONG BREAK

This blog has been in a coma for about two years now and I am only keeping it alive as a diary for generations coming. 60 years from now I will be wrinkly and grey, yet with a sparking flare in my eyes, I will be browsing, telling stories and re-living as HIGH ON LIFE.

One of the most exciting career moments this year was certainly that famous phone call from HQ of Vivienne Westwood : I was invited for an interview to shoot a lookbook for their new Anglomania Jeans collection. They liked my style.

A year ago, when I was searching a perfect location for one of my visuals for "I Died Loved" series, a friend told me about the Hampstead Heath Park. So I went there scout locating - taking photos of the glittering water of the ponds and fell in love with imagery of the landscape completely. There was something about that place. Next day I came there again and I made my shoot but somehow I felt I will make a short movie there at one point as well.

A moment of this came more than one year later, actually last week. Do I need to mention, it was cold as ICE at the time of our shoot? I guess a bit of insanity to create this dream-come-true film was there and I made sure it keep as all warm : )

Hard JOB

His name is Mohamed and he's with Nevs Models Agency. There's something special about him. Obviously, he's handsome, but his personality is very warm 2, plus he likes to smile A LOT...

But there was something REALLY exciting about him.

He's been working a lot with a few BIG NAME PHOTOGRAPHERS, among them most famous are David Lachapelle and Steven Klein.

Now, THAT IS A CHALLENGE FOR ME. To get my ass there among other big names, haaaaa : ) When we did the shoot, his agent not just confirmed that the photographs are great for his portfolio, she was like "I want to put ALL of your photos in his portfolio, I absolutely adore them!"

To make long story short, it's nice to see my photos there next to David Lachapelle ones ... see it HERE : )

The Art Lover is in a strong position to preserve life as we know it because he is not a victim of propaganda.

Culture fortifies the Art Lover, human genius is his star. He is a Freedom Fighter and he’ll never get blown away in his fight. He leads a sane and exciting life, learning something new and piecing things together everyday. He has a sense of personal progress.

• And fighting Ecocide (ecological suicide).

The way we see the world affects our behaviour. If we are lazy and crazy enough to see the world as something to suck up and shit out, the world will destroy us. One day he realises that everything he cares about comes together in Gaia Theory : –

In pagan times Greek philosophers asked themselves, what is a Good Life? Then we forgot to ask this question. Now the answer is staring us in the face.

The Good Life is the life that lives in harmony with Gaia.
