“Dreams are like stars ... you may never touch them, but if you follow them they will lead you to your destiny.” What would we be without our dreams? I'm talking about daydreams, fantasies, desires ... I bet you have some serioooous dreams that are making you high on life, and oh, yeah - so do I! So for the last couple of months I had this daydream I am in the London's Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design at the interview where the staff of Postgraduate Photography are checking on my Portfolio and they are amazed by my photos and my presentation. That was my dream. I will tell you something and listen to me very carefully: dreams do come true BUT you have to dream them hard.
So I was applying to the CSM on January this year and then after waiting and waiting for THE letter I was three weeks ago finally invited for the interview on 14th of May at the head of Central Saint Martins. I came back from London two days ago and yes, I was busy working on my Portfolio before that and that's why I had absolutely no time for you guys. And now I shall be brutally honest with you ... before the moment I sat down that chair in that studio where the interview was held - I was a complete nightmare breathing deeply remembering what yoga teacher said I should do whenever I find myself almost dying of nervousness. Thank god Manca was doing her magic there (I never in my life needed my dear friend so much - which I didn't see 6 months!) and Haidy (who actually came with me to London to shot the scenes for her documentary about me) ... well, both girls was there encouraging me big time because otherwise someone was about to pee in her pants. Or fainted. Or at least forgot her name.
I tell you there's been some shit loads of adrenalin situations in my life, but I guess this before-the-CSM-interview beats them all. The clock was ticking ... and ticking. (Imagine me walking up and down the hallway with that yoga breathing.) Then it happened - finally I was asked to walk into that room by the course leader and ... you know what I did? I set down and I pulled myself together. That's right. I suddenly was confident and excited to tell them my story, and I believed I had a great story ... and a beautiful portfolio to present them, too. And thanks to David Lynch (again) the interview went just GREAT. It was actually a dream came true interview. They even showed me around the school! Yeah, that felt like a million bucks. I was so happy afterwords I was screaming, hugging my friends and jumping up and down the Charing Cross Road. And then I invited my girls for some nice beer(s) in ol' London town ... and I wanted to have a picture of us together to remember that happy moment for the rest of my life.

ReplyDeleteBut you might as well take some english lessons first considering your english is not as good as your other work.
Še sreča, da ne znam angleško dovolj dobro, da bi v postu vidla napake.
